Terms and Conditions

  1. At Fit Fitness Centers, the agreement is valid indefinitely, meaning we do not require long-term commitment from our customers. You can, for example, be a member for four months and terminate your contract without additional fees. We have a notice period of one calendar month (e.g., if you cancel on 1.11.2020, your membership ends on 31.12.2020). There are no joining fees or annual service fees.
  2. Customers train at their own risk. Fit Fitness Centers are responsible for the functionality of the equipment and the competence and professionalism of the instructors.
  3. A gym member has the right to bring a friend to the gym free of charge. Guests are only allowed during customer service hours. The same guest can be brought to the gym for free only once. After this, the guest must pay according to the price list. The member is responsible for ensuring that their guest follows the gym rules. If a member brings an unauthorized guest without a completed and staff-approved guest pass, a violation fee of €100 will be charged. If the violation is repeated, the membership may be terminated immediately.
  4. The key card is personal and must always be brought when entering the club. Customers must verify their identity upon request. If the key card is lost, it must be reported to the gym staff immediately. If the key card is used by another person and its loss has not been reported in writing, the member will receive a written warning, and a fee equivalent to three times the standard visit fee will be charged per unauthorized visit. If the violation continues despite the warning, the membership may be revoked without a refund.
  5. Price Adjustments and Payments. The gym is obligated to notify members at least one month in advance of any price changes due to VAT adjustments or other official measures before such changes take effect.
  6. In case of payment delays, the gym has the right to charge interest on arrears according to the Interest Act and a reminder fee. If the invoice is transferred to debt collection, the customer must cover reasonable collection costs. If the member fails to make payments despite a reminder, the membership may be terminated immediately with written notice.
  7. Corporate Agreements. For corporate agreements, the contracting parties are Fit Fitness Center and the member as a private individual. The company covers the training costs of the member as defined in the corporate agreement. If the member leaves the employment covered by the corporate agreement or the company ceases payments, the member is ultimately responsible for the payments.
  8. This contract serves as a prior notification of direct debit, indicating the seasonal fee in euros. Customers may request an annual list of direct debit dates from the gym.
  9. Failure to pay an invoice does not terminate the membership; termination must be done in person or via email. Suspension cannot be terminated directly but follows the normal notice period only when the customer is active.
  10. A member can suspend their membership free of charge for up to 12 months per year, with a minimum of 4 weeks at a time. The suspension must have a predetermined end date. If a suspension is requested after a new invoice has been generated, the invoice must be paid even if the suspension exceeds a calendar month. There must be no outstanding unpaid invoices before a suspension starts. A fixed-term membership cannot be paused while the fixed-term membership is in effect.
  11. Customer Register and Data Protection. We maintain a customer register and process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), supplemented by national legislation. The gym’s privacy policy is published on our website and available upon request.

Gym Rules

 

  1. Customers are expected to maintain cleanliness and good manners at the fitness center and during its events. Customers must leave the premises within opening hours. Disturbing other trainees is prohibited. Selling products or services at the club is against good practices. If a customer violates these rules or behaves in a manner contrary to the gym's spirit, a written warning will be issued. If the violation continues despite the warning, the membership may be revoked without a refund.
  2. The gym may be used for corporate events or advertising shoots, during which the facility may be temporarily closed. These and other special cases will be announced on the notice board in advance. Such instances are already considered in pricing, and no separate compensation will be granted.
  3. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the physical activities offered by the gym are suitable for them and, if necessary, should consult their doctor. The gym ensures that the equipment is in proper condition. Customers must use the equipment according to the instructions and at their own risk.
  4. Customers must wear clean indoor shoes or be in socks while training. Outdoor shoes are strictly prohibited in the gym.
  5. The gym provides lockable storage lockers for use during workouts. Members use these lockers for storing their belongings. Valuables should not be kept in lockers, and the club is not responsible for any lost or damaged valuables. Leaving equipment or clothing in the dressing rooms or lockers overnight is not allowed.
  6. Smoking is prohibited in all areas of the gym. The consumption or possession of alcohol, drugs, or substances banned by Finnish law is strictly forbidden on the premises. Children are welcome at the gym with a parent but must strictly follow the separate safety guidelines. Any changes in contact details must be immediately reported to gym staff.
  7. Customers have the right to participate in both free and paid gym events.
  8. If there are complaints about cleanliness, service, or staff, members are encouraged to report them to the gym management immediately.
  9. The gym has entrepreneur liability insurance. However, the gym's insurance does not cover events held outside the gym premises.
  10. Intentional damage to gym property is prohibited. In addition to compensation for damages, the membership may be revoked without a refund.
  11. Members must scan their key card at the reader each time they enter the club.
  12. The gym occasionally undergoes cleaning or renovations, which may affect opening and training hours. Such changes will be announced on the notice boards. These cases are already considered in pricing, and no separate compensation will be provided.
  13. The gym reserves the right to change the terms and benefits of the agreement. Changes will be announced to members two months in advance. If the changes significantly worsen a member’s conditions, they may terminate the contract immediately within one month of the announcement. If the member does not terminate the contract within one month, they are deemed to have accepted the changes.
